We carry out research to find new treatments for heart disease and research methods of assessing heart function, frequently using cardiac ultrasound. We also are involved with the development of interventional devices.
The results of our research is published and presented internationally in journals and at conferences to benefit not just the local population but also the public in general.
We participate in large international trials, with many of our patients volunteering to participate in research projects with us. The dedication of the team often means we manage to recruit large numbers of patients, making us a significant contributor in shaping the treatment and care of heart patients in the future.
