We need a new echo machine!
We are raising funds for a new echo machine. Our 2 old machines, Bonnie and Clyde, are now nearly 15 years old. While they have served us proudly they are now looking forward to their retirement. Sadly they can’t do the newer functions required for our research projects. We especially need it to complete our research into how Covid-19 affects the heart.
An echo machine is used to take pictures of the heart using ultrasound and is a really good way of seeing how the heart is beating. As a small charity we do not expect to raise anything near the massive £98, 000 the new machine will cost us, but any contribution will make a difference. I have set our target for £5000.
Maybe you could do a fundraising event for us, or perhaps your teenager is starting their D of E journey and is looking for a local charity to support? We are happy to do the forms etc required for this. You can get in touch with us via our website – www.cardiac-research.org.
All the funds will be spent on the machine – we don’t have a marketing budget or a fundraiser, so you can be sure that your donation will be used as you intended.
Thank you!
